The existing <br />Maintenance Worker II eligibility list has expired and to expedite filling this vacancy, the department proposes to fill <br />this position with a Maintenance Worker I. <br />ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: <br />This position (Maintenance Worker H) became vacant when an employee was promoted to Equipment Operator II. <br />The candidate being referred for Council ratification will meet all requirements as specified in the job description. <br />The candidate recommended for the position will be selected from a current Maintenance Worker I eligibility list. <br />Upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period and at the time of the annual performance review, if the <br />employee meets the criteria, the employee may be reclassified to the journey level position of Maintenance Worker <br />II, per Administrative Policy 4.05.340 Series Reclassification. The salary range is $1,992 - $2,422 per month. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />This is an approved general fund position in the Fiscal Year 2001-2002 budget.
