Item #13 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 6, 2002 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Tom Hendrix, Fire Chief <br />L ` <br />SUBJECT: Set for Public Hearing, for the Meeting of August 20, 2002, a <br />Resolution accepting the City's Weed Abatement Report of <br />Costs and the Placement of Parcels on the County Tax Rolls. <br />DATE: July 22, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City's Spring Weed Abatement Program is now complete. Approximately 110 parcels <br />were contractor abated during the Spring, 2002 Program and approximately 65 parcels were <br />abated during the Fall, 2001 Program. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />At this time, a Public Hearing is required to consider the Report of Costs and to hear any <br />objections from property owners liable to be assessed for this abatement. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />Staff recommends setting of the Public Hearing for the Council Meeting of August 20, 2002, a <br />Resolution accepting the Report of Costs and the placement of those costs on the County Tax <br />Rolls. <br />Report Prepared By: Alan J.
