CITY OF COLTON AGENDA REPORT FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 4, 2005 ITEM #5 TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL ,a FROM: Jeannette Olko, Electric Utility General Manager �' SUBJECT: Approve Change Order to Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. for FastGate Mobile Network Inventory Application Software in the Amount of $7,997.51 DATE: September 26, 2005 BACKGROUND: At the City Council Meeting of December 7, 2004, Council approved the purchase of FastGate Mobile Network Inventory Application Software from Osmose Utility Services, Inc., in the amount of $30,610.00. This software is used for the mapping of overhead electrical lines in our system DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: During the software configuration and implementation process, staff determined it was necessary to purchase additional "seats" (licenses) and equipment in order to best utilize this software. The cost for the additional seats is $3,000 and the equipment is $1,920.00. In addition, there are added costs of $3,077.51 for travel and lodging for Osmose Utilities Services staff to come to Colton during configuration and training. The total additional amount requested is $7,997.51. City Council approval is required prior to obtaining a change order to the purchase order for this requirement. FINANCIAL IMPACT:. Funds are available in the Electric Utility Account Number 520-8000-8002-2350-0923-000. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None.
