Planning Director Aguilera stated he was familiar with the piece of property tha <br />Mr. Creatura was speaking about and, because of its proximity with the railroad 1.9:3 <br />tracks, the industrial zoning would be more applicable. Mr. Aguilera advised that <br />there are several other locations in the City that have been rezoned, or redesig- <br />nated, by the General Plan and amendments have been requested. <br />Mr. Aguilera further advised that State law permits only three amendment per year <br />to a General Plan and the fee is $400 per amendment. Mr. Aguilera said that possibly <br />the City Council could consider waiving this fee, holding a public hearing to give <br />the public an opportunity to voice their concerns and requests for amendments to the <br />General Plan, and possibly Mr. Creatura's request could be considered at the same <br />time. <br />Mrs. Lorenza Vasquez, 677 South 8th Street, Colton, asked where the parcel of land <br />in question is located. <br />Mr. Aguilera stated it is south of Congress Street and east of South La Cadena Drive, <br />near the second set of railroad tracks. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Elections <br />Councilwoman Garcia read a letter from Mrs. Lupe S. Vega wherein she stated that <br />j� during the last election the name of Lupe Vega was used in a newspaper ad indicat- <br />ing support of candidates Connie Cisneros and Albert Huntoon, and she wanted it <br />(y) known that she had not given consent for the use of her name, and also that her <br />name is always written as "Lupe S. Also <br />present were City Manager Trevino, City Attorney Edwards, and Deputy City Clerk <br />Veralrud. Absent was City Clerk Ramos. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 6:04 p. m., to discuss Personnel <br />Matters, and reconvened at 6:10 p. m., all Members present. <br />Resignation <br />City Manager Trevino stated that they have reached an agreement on his contractual <br />obligations with the City, and he would therefore like to tender his resignation <br />as City Manager with the City of Colton. <br />Mayor Huntoon then presented Resolution No. 4203 for Council's consideration and <br />approval, reading it as to number and title only: <br />MAY 11 14982. <br />
