ADJOURNED REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 239 1988 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Gonzales presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Garcia, Rehrer, and Mayor <br />Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Benest, City Attorney Edwards, <br />City Clerk Ramos, Assistant City Manager Keane, and Fiscal Services <br />Manager Young. <br />City Manager Benest stated the Council at the last Budget Session <br />requested that the Chamber of Commerce provide further information on <br />its budget request. <br />Chamber of Commerce - Mr. Dick Dawson, Chamber Manager, reviewed the <br />Chamber letter <br />concept of the <br />the Chamber can <br />more effective. <br />dated June 23, 1988. Mr. Dawson agreed to do so. <br />BUDGET SESSION: <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />Revenue Sharing <br />Mayor Gonzales announced the Public Hearing for Revenue Sharing, <br />Expenditures for Fiscal Year, 1988-89. <br />Assistant City Manager Keane reported the City estimates $670,703 in <br />federal revenue sharing funds available for expenditure in Fiscal <br />Year 1987-88. Ms. Keane stated the revenue sharing program was not <br />continued in the current federal budget, and it is not anticipated that <br />the City will receive additional funds in Fiscal Year 1988-89. <br />Ms. Keane reported the City Manager's proposed revenue sharing budget <br />was published in the Courier on June 9, 1988; the initial budget hearing <br />has been scheduled for this evening in conjunction with Council's second <br />hearing on the City's annual budget. Official adoption of a revenue <br />sharing budget is tentatively scheduled for Council's June 29, 1988 <br />meeting. <br />1 <br />
