In accordance with <br />Meeting of the City <br />given date at 5:07 <br />Gonzales presiding. <br />ROLA -CAAILL <br />ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />APRIL 90 1994 <br />notice duly and legally given, an <br />Council of the City of Colton was <br />P. M., in the Council Chambers o <br />Adjourned Regular <br />held on the above <br />City Hall, Mayor <br />Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Cisneros, Cook, Beltran <br />and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, Director <br />Gale brews in place and stead of City Manager Young, and City Clerk <br />Ramos. <br />City -Manager <br />Halm Gonzales announced he had received a. doctor,'s note indicating that <br />City Manager Young is ill and in the hospital. <br />MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />'ori Week Stud Session <br />In response to City Council directive, Assistant City Manager Daryl <br />Parrish reed and reviewed a 7 -page written report regarding the 4/10 <br />work week. He provided statistics as to AVmeasurements* O Issues- <br />e al Opinion, Statistical Information re Industrial n r Reports, <br />overtime Usage, Sick Leave Usage, Energy Consumption and Fuel <br />Consumption, plus Genera. Information. <br />Assistant City Manager Parrish concluded that the 4/10 work week plan <br />works for City of Colton. At this time, the Cit.y is close to meeting <br />the AVR goals as mandated by the SCAQMD without incurring mayor costs to <br />the City. The plan appears to be lowering operating coats of the City. <br />Additionally,, City employees have now adjusted personal schedules to <br />accommodate edate the longer working day with the reward being a tree -day <br />weekend. Mr. Parrish relayed that staff reported little, if any, public <br />criticism of the work week. Staff recommended that. the 4/10 Plan be <br />continued as presently implemented. <br />Motion by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to accept <br />staff recommendation. <br />ounc.i.lmem er Sandoval stated it was prudent to evaluate programs at any <br />point in time. He wanted to see if there were savings as to equipment <br />and vehicles. This was the comprehensive overview that he sought. <br />'sneerBennett's .inquiry, it Attorney Biggs advised that <br />this was a. study session which required no action.
