SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />March 4, 2004 <br />A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held at 4:07 p.m., on the above -given <br />date in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, California, <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Hernandez presiding. Notice of Special Meeting was given on March 2, 2004, <br />in compliance with Government Code Section 54956. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Zamora, Mitchell, Ramos, Chastain and Mayor Pro Tempore <br />Hernandez. Also present were City Manager Parrish (Present at 4:09), City Attorney Derleth <br />(Present at 4:10), and City Clerk Barrera. Councilmember DeLaRosa and Mayor Bennett absent. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />City Clerk Barrera, announced the City Council would meet in Closed Session regarding the <br />following items: <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(a) <br />Name of case: City of Colton v. Ying C. Chuang (Howard Johnson's) <br />Case number: San Bernardino Superior Court Case No. SCVSS 083989 <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS <br />Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.8 <br />Property: 2040 Agua Mansa Road in the City of Colton <br />Agency Negotiator: Tom Clarke, City of Colton Electric Utility Director <br />Negotiating parties: City of Colton and Haskel Enterprise Group <br />Under negotiations: Price and terms of payment <br />At 4:08 P.M., Mayor Pro Tempore Hernandez adjourned the special meeting to Closed Session and <br />at 5:20 P.M., the meeting as reconvened with all members mentioned heretofore. <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Hernandez reported the City Council did meet in Closed Session and discussed <br />the items previously announced: <br />A. EXISTING LITIGATION <br />ACTION: There was no reportable action taken. <br />B. REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATIONS <br />ACTION: There was no reportable action taken. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />At 5:21 P.M.
