That Section 1905 of Ordinance No. 964 be amended to <br />read as follows: <br />Section 1905. NOTICE. Notice of time and place of public hearings <br />shall be given in the following manner. <br />(1) Notice of any public hearing upon a proposed amendment to this <br />ordinance, or to the map which is a part of this ordinance, shall be given by at <br />least one (1) publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of <br />Colton at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. <br />(2) Notice of public hearing before the Planning Commission to con- <br />sider a variance or conditional use permit shall be given by mailing a written <br />notice not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such hearing to the <br />owners of property within a radius of three hundred (300) feet of the exterior <br />boundaries of the property to be changed, using for this purpose the last <br />known name and address of such owners as shown upon the latest available lot <br />books of the County Assessor of the County of San Bernardino, State of Cali- <br />fornia, or in lieu thereof. <br />(3) By posting notices at a distance not more than 150 feet apart along <br />both sides of each and every street upon which .the propertyto be affected thereb <br />abutts or is nearest to if not abutting on any street and to points at least 600 <br />feet each way along said street from the exterior limits of the property in- <br />volved in the petition not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the hear- <br />ing. <br />ear-ing.
