That Section 10 of Ordinance No,, 1090 shall be amended to read as follows: Section 10. That the license provisions of this ordinance shall not be deemed to apply to dogs under the age of four months and which are kept within enclosure and not permitted to run at large. SECTION 2. That Section 11 of Ordinance No. 1090 shall be amended to read as follows: Section 11., That in order to protect the public health and safety, all dogs or similar type animals within the City of Colton must be vaccinated each year with canine rabies vaccine. That it shall be unlawful for any person to own, have an interest in, harbor and feed or have the care, charge, c'.Istody or possession of a dog over the age of four months unless such dog has been vaccinated with canine rabies vaccine by injection or other approved method by a duly qualified and licensed veterinarian showing that the dog has been vaccinated with canine rabies vaccine within a period of twelve months pre- ceding date of application for license.. SECTION 3. That it is necessary that this Ordinance shall take effect immediately in order for said Ordinance to comply with Section 2606.4 (b) of Title 17, California Administrative Code and therefore the passage of this Ordinance is an emergency matter and it is hereby ordained that said Ordinanc( shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the City Council. SECTION 4,. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Colton Courier, a newspaper published in the City of Colton, PASSED., ADOPTED AND APPROVE this 2LSt day of April, 1964. yor ATTEST: it.y qerk
