THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION ONE. That the amount necessary to be raised by taxation upon taxable property in the City of Colton as a revenue to carry on the various departments of the City of Colton for the current year 1967 - 1968 and to pay the bonded indebt- edness of said City and the expense of collection, is $3670250.00. SECTION TWO. This Ordinance is for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety and shall take effect immediately upon its adoption and publication. The facts constituting the urgency thereof are as follows: This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the general laws of the State of California for levying municipal taxes to provide for the maintenance of the various governmental functions , of the City of Colton including police protection, fire protec- i I tion, health regulations and other functions which preserve the �I in the Cit of Colton. i� public health and safety y II PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 22nd day of August, 1967.
