I, The City Council of the City of Colton does ordain as 6'J follows: 7Section 1: Every person, firm or corporation owning II Ior harboring a dog within the City of Colton on or before the 911 1� first day of July of each year shall pay to the City a License 12 13 1 14 15 16 17 18 it !I 19 20 21 22 i, 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 fee of $4.00 for Males or spayed female dog; and $5.00 for females and no license to own or harbor a dog as herein provided shall be issued except on application in writing to the Finance Director said City as provided hereinafter. Section 2: The Finance Director upon receipt of such application and the license fee aforesaid shall issue and deliver to such owner or possessor of a license, a receipt certifying; the payment of the license fee and setting forth the name and address of the applicant and a brief description of the dog, together with the fact that it has been vaccinated as provided herein and stating the number alloted to such dog, and he shall deliver or cause to be delivered to the applicant a metallic tag (which shall set forth the year of the license and the number allotted to the dog, which tag shall at all times be affixed to the collar, covering, harness or other article worn by such dog yearly. The Finance Director shall make a charge of one dollar or such other sum as the City Council may determine by resolution for each duplicate license issued to replace any license issued 32 under the provisions of this ordinance which has been lost or i, destroyed.
