'That Whereas the City of Colton is contemplating; the <br />ii conversion of electrical energy within this City from the present <br />it <br />50 cycles more or less to a uniform frequency of 60 cycles more <br />or less, and <br />i( <br />Whereas it is necessary to prevent unnecessary conversion <br />expenses to both the Cit of Colton and i <br />�! y is consumers wherever <br />possible. <br />, <br />ii <br />�i! `uiihereas it is therefore desirable to fix a date after which <br />I <br />'{ the City of Colton will not be obligated to bear other than the <br />absolute minimum cost of the necessary conversion expenses. <br />! Now Therefore Be It Resolved: j <br />II <br />j That all electrical equipment, electrical fixtures, electrical' <br />{ <br />�i appliances and electrical apparatus of every nature whatsoever, <br />'I { <br />including gaseous tube lighting or electrical equipment which <br />I� may be installed for service from the distribution system of this <br />iI � <br />City on or after the 15th day of February, 1946 or which may be <br />purchased or obtained after said date for such installation <br />1 shall be of a type which may be converted to the aforesaid f d 60 <br />cycle frequency at the minimum cost of conversion of said <br />equipment. <br />In the event any person, firm or corporation from and after <br />said date shall install or purchase or obtain for installing any <br />4 such equipment which shall be of such a make or type or model <br />that necessitates a sum in ex <br />! cess of the regular standard minimum <br />rate to affect such conversion, then and in that event the City <br />of Colton shall not pay any sum in excess of the regular minimum <br />rate for the conversion of equipment that they would have paid, <br />had the said person, firm or corporation installed, purchased <br />or obtained equipment that would have required the lowest minimum <br />cost for such conversion. <br />
