That, effective July 1, 1946, all offices and <br />departments of the City, except those for which special regulations <br />are required, shall be kept open for business on all days of the <br />week except Saturdays and Sundays and holidays continuously from <br />8:00 A. M. until 5:00 P. M., and all employees in such offices <br />and departments shall work 40 hours per week. <br />2. That the rate of pay fore mployees of such departments, <br />which shall include all departments except the Police and Fire <br />Department, as of the 1st day of July, 1946, sh4ll be increased <br />in the amount of $12.50 per month. <br />3. That the rate of pay for employees in the Police and <br />Fire Department and Sewer Plant Operator shall be increased in <br />the amount of X18.00 per month, and the hours to be worked are to <br />be according to the present schedule. <br />4. That for additional duties performed, the salary rate <br />for John Turner, Assistant Water Superintendent, shall be increas <br />as of the 1st day of July, 1946, in the amount of 1;15.00 per <br />month over and above the general increase of X12.50 per month. <br />5. That for additional duties performed, the salary of <br />E. N. Hubbs shall be increased as of the lst day of July, 1946, <br />in the amount of $15.00 per month in addition to the general <br />increase above mentioned. <br />6. That new employees, as of the 1st day of July, 1946, sha <br />be paid at the regular rate as outlined in Civil Service Rules <br />and Regulations for the first three months, after which time the <br />monthly increase of $12.50 will be allowed and an additional <br />010.00 at the expiration of a six-month period. <br />That the aforesaid increases shall be considered as an <br />emergency increase during the present emergency post war period, <br />and the City Council shall have the right to terminate aforesaid <br />!I increases and other emergency increases, when in their opinion, <br />the circumstances may warrant. <br />
