Keane, Assistant City Manager Al <br />SUBJECT: RESOLUTION TERMINATING THE FIVE CITIES Date: 2/28/89 <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />In October 1978, the City of Colton entered into a Joint Powers <br />Agreement with the cities of Fontana, Rialto, San Bernardino and <br />Redlands, creating the Five Cities Economic Development Authority. <br />The purpose of this JPA has since been fulfilled and subsequent <br />litigation resolved. The Board of Directors has determined that it <br />would be in the best interest of all parties to dissolve the JPA <br />at this point. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City council adopt a resolution terminating <br />the Five Cities Economic Development Authority, by title as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING <br />THE AGREEMENT FOR TERMINATION OF <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of Item No. <br />C: <br />
