CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of Mav 2 1989 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Leslie A. Keane:, Assistant City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Rejection of Bid for Electric Yard PCB <br />Storage Facility and Substation Addition. <br />Date; April 20, 1989 <br />On March 16,, 1989, we advertised for quotations for the subject <br />metal buildings for the Electric Utility. Bid opening was held' <br />at 2:00 P.M.,_, April 11, 1989 in the City Council Chambers. Wyatt <br />Construction of San Bernardino submitted the only bid on the <br />project.in an amount of $62,300.00. <br />The budget for the two buildings was $45,000.00, <br />7 <br />than the bid.. It was discovered that there will beconsiderable <br />subexcavation required at the location of the Substation addition. <br />Staff will budget again for this requirement in Fiscal Year 1989/90 <br />with additional funds sufficient to construct the two buildings. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the bid for the Electric <br />Yard PCB Storage Facility and Substation Addition be rejected <br />Report prepared by K.L.
