CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of Ag 990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Edmund F. Sotelo, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Portland Cement Concrete, Date: August 15, 1990 <br />Aggregate Base, and Slurry Sand to Owl Rock <br />Products in the Amount of $61,312.50 <br />BACKGROUND: The City of Colton periodically advertises for formal <br />bids for the supply of Portland Cement Concrete, Aggregate Base, and <br />Slurry Sand for use by the Streets Division. The normal procedure <br />is to ask for a one year contract with an option to extend the bid <br />for one additional year. We advertised for quatations on July 26,1990 <br />with bid opening date set for 2:30 P.M., August 9,1990. A Bid <br />Analysis is attached showing the quotations received Faith the <br />recommended vendor's price underlined. <br />SATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: None, normal formal bid procedure. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />None appropriate. <br />FINANCAL IMPACT: Funds are budgeted and available for this project. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: Not applicable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that bid award be made to <br />Owl Rock Products in the amount of $ 61,312.50. <br />Report prepared by: K.
