CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of August 21 , 1 990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Edmund F. Sotelo, City Manage <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Asphalt Concrete Material Date: August 15, 1990 <br />to Matich Corporation in the Amount of $166,163.25. <br />BACKGROUND: The City of Colton periodically advertises for formal <br />bids for the supply of asphalt concrete material of various mixes <br />for use by teh Streets Division. The normal procedure is to ask <br />for a one year contract with an option to extend the bid for an <br />additional year. We advertised for quotations on July 26, 1990 <br />with bid opening date set for 2:30 P. M., August 9, 1990. A Bid <br />Analysis is attached showing the quotations received with the <br />recommended vendor's prices underlined. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: None, normal formal bid procedures. <br />ALTERNATIVES: None appropriate. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funds are budgeted and available for this project. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that bid award be made to the <br />Matich Corporation in the amount of $166,163.25. <br />Report prepared by: K.
