SOTELO, CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: <br />SUBJECT: ADOPT NEW JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FIRE CHIEF <br />Date: 11-29-90 <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: At the Council meeting of November 20, <br />1990, Council adopted a new job description for the position of <br />Fire Chief. When typing the job description certificates that <br />were required on the old job description were included in the new <br />job description. These certificates are not recognized in the <br />industry as being needed to do the job of Fire Chief and should <br />not be made a requirement of the job.
