CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of January 2, 1989 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Leslie A. Keane, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Hutton and Luque Center Date: December 27, 1981 <br />Expansion to Shook Building Systems, Inc. in <br />the Amount of #739,188.00. <br />As you are aware, we have been in the design and bidding phase <br />of the Hutton and Luque Center Expansion Project. Bid opening <br />was held at 2:00 P.M., December 21, 1989 in the City Council <br />Chambers. <br />We received seven bids on this project. Five of the bids were <br />below estimate. A Register of Bids is attached showing each <br />bidders base bid and two alternative bids. Alternate #1 is to <br />transplant a magnolia tree and Alternate #2 is to provide tack - <br />boards per plans and specifications. <br />Based on an award on this date, construction should begin <br />January 22, 1990 with a completion date of July 23, 1990. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends bid award to Shook Building <br />Systems, Inc. in an amount of $739,188.00 which includes <br />r.l terriate #1 and Alternate #2. <br />Report prepared by K.
