CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of July3 , 1990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: EDMUND SOTELO, CITY MANAGER <br />SUBJECT: Contract With Los Padrinos, Inc. Date: June 22, 1990 <br />For Counseling Services. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Partial funding for the city's Early Intervention Program is established <br />yearly through a contract with Los Padrinos, Inc. of Colton. An <br />Early Intervention Counselor provides counseling services to youth <br />"at risk" in the community. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />The contract for 1990-91 has been reviewed by staff and must be approved <br />by City Council for program continuance. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />There are no alternatives. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />$17,000 will be provided to the city for services rendered and will <br />partially fund a Counselor's position. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that City Council approve the contract with Los <br />Padrinos, Inc. for fiscal year 1990-91. <br />City Manager's Concurrence <br />Report Prepared By: Susan Brigham, C ild Care Coordinator <br />SB:lz <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of Item No. -5- <br />
