CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of July 17, 1990 <br />TO: Honorable Council Members <br />FROM: Mayor Frank A. Gonzales J8 <br />SUBJECT: Resolutions of Support for Recycling Legislation <br />Assembly Bills 3050, 1490 and 2622 <br />Date: July 12, 1990 <br />It has been brought to my attention that it is critical in the final weeks <br />of the legislative session that we win adoption of a balanced and com-' <br />prehensive solution to the current problems associated with glass recycling <br />in the state. <br />A viable solution is a package of three bills --AB 3050 (Margolin), AB 1490 <br />(Sher), and AB 2622 (Eastin) which are scheduled to be heard in the Senate <br />Natural Resources Committee on August 7th or 8th. All three bills are <br />supported by the League of Cities and the County Supervisors Association of <br />California. <br />Californians Against Waste are asking the City of Colton for support of <br />these three Assembly Bills.
