SOTELO, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Wire to Southwest Power <br />in the Amount of $9,970.24 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Date: June 11, 1990 <br />The Electric Stores carries various sizes of wire and cable in inventory <br />for use by the Electric Utility. When a preset review point is reached, <br />the Storekeeper submits a request to re -order, based on the history of <br />past usage. <br />On May 17, 1990, General Services advertised for sealed bids for one <br />of these requrements. Bid opening was held at 2:30 p.m., June 4, 1990, <br />in the General Services office. Four bids were received and evaluated. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />A Bid Analysis is attached showing price and delivery quoted by each <br />vendor. The recommended vendor's price is underlined for your review. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for this requirement to Southwest Power in <br />the amount of $9,970.24. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
