ACEVEDO, Finance Directo <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Time of Use Meters, Soft- Date: July 30, 1991 <br />ware and Related Meter Reading Equipment to <br />Domestic Automation Co. in the Amount of $18,856.25 <br />BACKGROUND <br />In the 1990-91 fiscal year budget, the City Council approved $22,000.00 <br />for the Electric Department to purchase Electronic Time of Use Meters, <br />software and related meter reading equipment. <br />On June 13, 1991, General Services advertised for sealed bids for this <br />requirement. Bid opening was held at 2:30 p.m., July 8, 1991, in the <br />Corporate Yard Conference Room. Four bids were received and evaluated. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: None <br />ALTERNATIVES: None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />A Bid Analysis is attached showing price and delivery quoted by each <br />vendor for the three proposals requested. The lowest and best bid <br />is for Proposal #1. The recommended vendor's price is underlined. <br />A memo, dated July 5, 1991, was sent to the Fiscal Operations Manager, <br />requesting the funds for this purchase be carried forward into 1991-92 <br />fiscal year budget. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for this requirement to Domestic Automation Co. <br />(DAC) in the amount of $18,856.25 and that the funds be carried forward <br />from fiscal year 1990-91 budget to pay for this purchase. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
