SOTELO, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Wire and Cable to WESCO Date: January 28, 1991 <br />Utility in the Amount of $17,474.79 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Various kinds of wire and cable are carried in the Electric Stores in- <br />ventory. When the inventory reaches a pre-set review point it is re -- <br />ordered by the Storekeeper based on prior history use. On January 10, <br />1991, General Services advertised for sealed bids for various kinds of <br />wire and cable. Bid opening was held at 2:30 p.m., January 23, 1991,. <br />in the General Stervices office. Three bids were received and evaluated. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />A Bid Analysis is attached for your review showing price and delivery <br />times quoted by each vendor. The recommended vendor's price is under- <br />lined.
