SOTELO, City Manage <br />6p?� <br />SUBJECT:Date : January 28, 19 91 <br />.Award. of Bid for Wood Poles & Crossarms <br />to Niedermeyer-Martin Co. in the Amount <br />of $8,281.5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Wood Poles and Crossarms are carried in Electric Stores for use by the <br />Electric Department on an as need basis. When the inventory reaches <br />a pre-set review point or a specific job is scheduled, they are requisi- <br />tioned by the Storekeeper. <br />On January 10, 1991, General Services advertised for sealed bids: -for some <br />of these requirements. Bid opening was held at 2:30 p.m., January 24, <br />1991, in the General Services office. Eight bids were received and evalu- <br />ated. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />A Bid Analysis is attached for your review showing price and delivery <br />quoted by each vendor. The recommended vendor's price is underlined <br />for each item. Funds are available. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for wood poles and crossarms to Niedermeyer- <br />Martin Co. in the amount of $8,281.50. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
