Peterson, General Services Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Contract for Printing & Graphic Date: June 25, 1991 <br />Services for the Community Newsletter for <br />a Two Year Period to Hogar Publishing Co <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Parks, Recreation & Human Services Department publishes a Community <br />Newsletter quarterly that is mailed to residents of Colton, informing <br />them of the various activities and services that the City offers. <br />On June 12, 1991, General Services solicited Request for Proposals <br />for these services. On June 24, 1991, two proposals were received <br />and evaluated. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />Hogar Publishing Co. Inc. proposal will cost approximately $21,087.00 <br />for fiscal year 1991-92 and Conner Enterprises, Inc. proposal will <br />cost approximately $27,008.40 per year. Actual costs will be based <br />on number of pages published and quantities printed. Funds for this <br />requirement are budgeted as a normal operating expense. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for this requirement to Hogar Publishing Co. <br />for an approximate amount of $21,087.00 for fiscal year 1991-92. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
