CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of July 2, 1991 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: John C. Hutton, Director of Public Works e�e <br />SUBJECT: Award of Contract for Missing Link and Wheelchair Date: June 25, 1991 <br />Ramps, City Project #PW90-2 to Sonora Construction <br />in the Amount of $19.400 <br />This project consists of constructing concrete sidewalks and wheelchair ramps for <br />the purpose of connecting existing facilities together in high foot traffic areas. <br />The project is to be funded with SB821, Article 3 grant funds. The project was <br />estimated to cost $25,000. <br />STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: <br />On June 18, 1991 staff received bids for the above project. The results are as <br />follows: <br />1. B-1 Enterprise Corp. $30,900 <br />Rancho Cucamonga <br />2. Gosney Construction $22,300 <br />Bloomington <br />3. Sonora Construction $19,400 <br />Colton <br />Staff reviewed the bids and found no discrepancies. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The SB821, Article 3 grant funds have been allocated for the project, and the funding <br />is in the FY90-91 budget (funds were carried over for this project). <br />ENVIRONv1ENTAL IMPACT: <br />The City's sidewalks will be completed in sections were they are missing and <br />wheelchair ramps installed. <br />RECOI\MIENDAT I ON : <br />Staff recom ends that Council award the missing link sidwalk contract to Sonora <br />Construction in the amount of $19,400. <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Page 1 of—__ Item No.� <br />
