CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of July 2, 1991 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Leslie Keane Stratton, City Manager *A -D <br />SUBJECT: Date: 6128191 <br />Wastewater System Master Plan Revision <br />BACKGROUND <br />In 1988 the City of Yucaipa adopted a wastewater system master plan for the City and its sphere of <br />influence. Since that time a revision to the City of Rialto's sphere of influence has substantially reduced <br />the area which might potentially be served by Colton. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />It is necessary to amend the current wastewater masterplan to reflect a system alternative which will meet <br />a reduced service area. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City may adopt revisions to the master plan whenever appropriate circumstances exist. It is possible <br />to delay adoption of revisions, however, until speck development is imminent. A memorandum from <br />the City's wastewater system engineers is included for your information. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />The cost for the proposed alternate will not exceed the costs identified in the current master plan. <br />Wastewater system construction is funded by user connection fees. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />Prior to construction of either the original system or the alternative components, the City would conduct <br />appropriate environmental review. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends inclusion of revised Table 6-1 and Figure 1 in the City's wastewater system master <br />plan. <br />Attachments: Memorandum <br />Page 1 of — Item No.._I_1___ <br />CEN 1 PA <br />FILE NO...�aQQ:-----------------9L <br />
