CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of. <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Leslie Keane Stratton, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: <br />July 16, 1991 <br />Grand Terrace Sewer Dispute Settlement Agreement <br />Date: 719191 <br />The City of Colton provides sewer service to the City of Grand Terrace. Colton has had a <br />longstanding dispute with the City of Grand Terrace as to money due Colton from Grand Terrace for <br />sewer service. After much discussion it is now agreed that Grand Terrace owes Colton $127,400.00. <br />Attached are the proposed Settlement Agreement and General Joint and Mutual Release together with <br />a Resolution approving it and authorizing the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of Colton. <br />Best, Best & Krieger have prepared the agreement and request that it be authorized and signed as <br />soon as possible. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />Funds received from Grand Terrace must be deposited in the Sewer Utility Enterprise Fund to offset <br />the cost of future sewer system improvements. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the Resolution approving and authorizing signing of the <br />agreement. <br />Attachments <br />Page 1 of. <br />Agreement <br />Letter from Best, Best & Krieger, dated July 3, 1991 <br />Resolution <br />Item No. c� q <br />
