Aguilera, Director of Community Development ;/f/ G <br />SUBJECT: Consider adoption of Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Ordinance. <br />E <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In order for the City of Colton to receive their share of State funds derived from AB 2766 N <br />(Sher) (the imposition of additional motor vehicle registration fees), a Mobile Source Air <br />Pollution Reduction Ordinance must be adopted. <br />The revenues are intended to be used to reduce air pollution from motor vehicles, by <br />enacting enforcing Ordinances and providing staff time and materials to implement the <br />required Ordinances. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: A <br />ALTERNATIVES: R <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: E <br />Attached is a copy of the proposed budget (as submitted for 1991-1992 Budget Review) <br />which requests one position and support equipment and budget to enforce the Ordinan- <br />ces, and is proposed to be funded, in part, using State funds from AB 2766. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />R <br />Staff Recommends that City Council waive full reading and approve first reading of <br />Ordinance O- -91, and set second reading of Said Ordinance for June 18, 1991. <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: � <br />Attachments: Ordinance O- -91r. <br />Proposed Budget FILE X 03 117 <br />Agenda Report CC MSAPR PAGE 1 OF 1 <br />
