Aguilera, Director of Community Developmenf/Y <br />SUBJECT: Adams Sign Company Settlement <br />E <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Council will recall that the City negotiated a settlement with the Adams Sign Company N <br />(Attached) which, in essence, required the company to pay all City Attorney fees and build <br />a billboard which the City could use at its discretion. <br />Mr. Adams has paid all fees required (see attached copies of checks) and he is prepared D <br />tonight to share with the Council his concept of the copy that is to be placed on the <br />billboard. <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the issue at their meeting of February 12, 1991 and Q <br />recommended approval of the billboard copy with the condition that the logo be changed <br />to the "HUB City" logo. <br />ALTERNATIVES: R <br />Mr. Adams did present the Planning Commission with an alternative display, with a green <br />backgound, however the Planning Commission felt the one selected was a better copy. E <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The City will begin receiving its ten percent share of the second side of the sign P <br />within 30 days from tonight's meeting. The City, per the agreement, will need to pay for <br />the copy on the sign which will be a one time cost of approximately $1,200.00. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />The project has been given a Negative Declaration. <br />Agenda Report <br />FU- .:.................... <br />PAGE 1 OF 2 <br />
