Drews, Electric Utility Director <br />SUBJECT: SETTLII�NT AGREENIENT OF DOCKET EF91-5091-000 Date : June 30, 1992 <br />RELATING TO RA'I'E ORDER WAPA-49 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Western Area Power Administration and the entities holdinq contracts with the <br />United States for electric service from the Boulder Canyon Project, which <br />includes the City of Colton, agree on the attached settlement and disposition of <br />Docket EF91-5091-000, relating to Rate Order WAPA-49, and jointly request the <br />Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to approve and implement this agreement. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />In June 1991, Western filed a request for final confirmation and approval of Rate <br />Schedule BCP-F3. Western and the Contractors subsequently asked the Commission <br />to withhold substantive action on the rates in order to allow those parties to <br />negotiate a stipulated resolution of the proceeding, to include the development <br />of a new rate methodology. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />There is no financial impact. Effective 6/1/87, the rate for the City of Colton <br />was $.75/KW/MO for Capacity and $.00341/KWh for Energy. In July 1991, the <br />rates increased to $ 1.050/KW/MO for Capacity and $.00511/KWh for Enerqy.
