ACEVEDO, Finance Direct r k�i <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Wood Poles and Crossarms Date: June 4, 1992 <br />to J. H. Baxter in the Amount of $14,019.62 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Wood Poles and Crossarms are carried in the Electric Stores inventory <br />for use as required by the Electric Department. When the inventory <br />reaches a predetermined review point or the City's Electrical Engineer <br />has a requirement for these items, the Storekeeper submits a requisition <br />to reorder them. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On May 11, 1992, General Services advertised for sealed bids for this <br />requirement. Bid opening was held at 3:30 p.m., June 2, 1992, in the <br />General Services office. Six bids were received and evaluated. A Bid <br />Analysis is attached for your review. The recommended vendor's price <br />is underlined. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that bid award be made to J. H.
