Acevedo, Finance Directdr <br />�-- Date: June 4, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for a Loader/Backhoe for the Water <br />Department to Whitney Machinery in the Amount <br />of $40,964.40 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Water Department has a loader/backhoe approved in their 1991/92 <br />budget. On May 28, 1992, General Services advertised for sealed <br />bids for this requirement. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Bid opening was held at 3:00 P.M., June 8, 1992 in the Corporate <br />Yard conference room. Five bids were received on this requirement. <br />A Bid Analysis is attached showing the price and delivery time of <br />the bids received. The recommended vendors's price is underlined. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for the loader/backhoe to Whitney <br />Machinery in the amount of $40,964.40. <br />Report prepared by: Kenneth L.
