ACEVEDO, Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Pick-up Trucks for the Date: September 8, 1992 <br />Electric Department & the Public Utility Department <br />to Prestige Ford in the Amount of $59,456.89 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Electric Department has a requirement for two half -ton pick-up <br />trucks with a Utility Body. The Public Utility Department has a <br />requirement for two fleetside pick-up trucks. On August 11, 1992, <br />General Services advertised for sealed bids for these requirements. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Bid opening was held at 2:00 p.m., August 24, 1992, in the General <br />Services office. Six bids were received and evaluated. A Bid <br />Analysis is attached for your review showing price and delivery <br />quoted by each vendor. The recommended vendor's price is underlined <br />for each item. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award be made to the low idder, Prestige Ford, <br />ire the amount of $59,456.89. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
