CITY OF COLTON <br />`�oor�or�tea� <br />AGENDA REPORT � �7 <br />1887 � <br />I f ot9 <br />For Council Meeting of October 6, 1992 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: September 16, 1992 <br />FROM: GALE DREWS <br />Electric Utility Director <br />SUBJECT: City Council Approval to File and Record Notice of <br />Completion on Electric Substation, Block Wall and PCB Building. <br />BACKGROUND: The Electric Department has had an ongoing project to build an addition to the main <br />Substation, a block wall and a building for the handling of transformers containing PCB's in the oil. It is <br />required on completion of a project to file a Notice of Completion. <br />DISCUSSION: Substantial completion was accomplished on August 27, 1992. The construction costs were: <br />Original Contract <br />Change Orders <br />Total Cost <br />$109,675.00 <br />4.580.98 <br />$114,255.98 <br />The change orders were $330.98 for additional wall footings and $4,250.00 for demolition of several concrete <br />footings in the location where the Substation addition was to be located. The footings that required demolition <br />were known to exist but, the exact location was not known until grading began. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval to file and record the Notice of Completion on the above <br />stated project. <br />Report prepared by K.L.
