CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of March 1, 1994 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />PROM: Recreation and Human Services Department <br />SUBJECT: APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE DAUER PARK LIGHTING PROJECT <br />Date: 2-9-94 <br />BACKGROUND <br />There is a need to install lights at Rich Dauer Park to provide adequate lighting for <br />evening recreation and for increased security in this area. <br />DISCUSSION <br />At the request of District 6 Recreation and Human Services Commissioner Buffington, <br />the Electric Department designed a site lighting plan for Rich Dauer Park. (see <br />attached) The design is consistent with the lighting at Municipal Park and will include <br />the installation of steel poles, metal helide lamps and fixtures. The plans were <br />approved by the Recreation and Human Services Commission on January 19, 1994. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />$6,000 <br />RECOMMENDATTON <br />Mayor and Council approve the appropriation of $6,000 from the "Parks Development <br />48 -Fund" to the project expenditure account #57-9153-89. <br />Report prepared by Erik Wood, Recreation & Human Services <br />City Manager's concurrence <br />Attachments Project pian <br />Cost breakdown <br />Page i of 3 <br />Item No. <br />
