Manager <br />SUBJECT: Date: <br />First Reading of Amendment to Ordinance No. 0-1-93 <br />Regulating the Use of the Sewerage (Pretreatment) <br />and Draining System of Colton <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Environmental Protection Agency and the State of California Regional Water <br />Quality Control Board require that the City of Colton update its Pretreatment <br />Ordinance yearly to include new laws and regulations. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The City's consulting engineer, Kreiger and Stewart, and staff have updated the <br />City's Pretreatment Ordinance to include all new laws and regulations. The City <br />Attorney has reviewed the changes and concurs with them. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council waive the first reading of the Amendment to <br />Ordinance No. 0-1-93 Regulating the Use of Sewerage (Pretreatment) and Drainage <br />Systems of the City of Colton. <br />LJ/I j <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1of <br />Item No.� <br />
