AGENDA COLTON CITY COUNCIEL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 139 1996 6:00 P. M. <br />MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PROCEDURES FOR ADDRESSING CITY COUNCIL <br />Please obtain a card from the City Clerk and fill out, noting item number on Agenda, or address <br />City Council under oral communications portion of Agenda. <br />The City Council encourages public input on all City issues within the Rules of Decorum as <br />follows: <br />DECORUM AND ORDER <br />To help conduct the business of the City Council in an orderly fashion, the City Council has adopted rules pertaining <br />to Decorum and Order. The City Council will strictly enforce these rules in order to allow full expression of ideas and <br />opinions by citizens, staff or legal counsel. The rules are summarized below: <br />Unauthorized remarks from the audience, stamping of feet, whistling, clapping, yelling, and similar <br />demonstrations shall NOT be permitted by the Presiding Officer. Any disrupting demonstrations shall be cause <br />for the Chief of Police to clear the Council Chambers or to remove individual offenders upon direction of the <br />Presiding Officer. <br />Any person who verbally attacks other individuals, groups, or City Officials, or otherwise becomes boisterous <br />while addressing the Council, or while attending the Council Meeting, shall be ruled out of order by the <br />Presiding Officer. If someone begins to make impertinent or slanderous remarks, the Presiding Officer (or the <br />City Manager or City Attorney at the direction of the Presiding Officer) will instruct the person to follow the <br />Council Rules. If the person does not cease, the Presiding Officer will instruct the Chief of Police to remove <br />the person from the Council Chambers and bar him/her from further audience before the Council. <br />NOTICE TO PUBLIC <br />Staff reports or other written documentation relating to each item referred to, on the Agenda, are on file in the Office <br />of the City Clerk and are available for public inspection. Any person having questions concerning any item on the <br />Agenda may call the City Clerk at 370-5032, to make inquiry concerning the nature of the item described on the Agenda. <br />The City Clerk shall direct inquiries to the appropriate office. <br />All matters listed under CONSENT CALENDAR are considered by the City Council to be routine and will all be enacted <br />by one motion in the form listed below. There will be no separate discussion on these items prior to the time the City <br />Council votes on the motion to adopt unless Members of the Council, Staff or the Public request specific items be <br />discussed and/or removed from the CONSENT CALENDAR for separate action. <br />FEB 13 1996 <br />
