M. <br />MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />INVOCATION: Chaplain Kim Starr <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PROCEDURES FOR ADDRESSING CITY COUNCIL <br />Please obtain a card from the City Clerk and fill out, noting item number on <br />Agenda, or address City Council under oral communications portion of Agenda. The <br />City Council encourages public input on all City issues <br />Decorum as follows: within the Rules of <br />DECORUm AND opDER <br />To help conduct the business of the City Council in an orderly fashion, the City <br />Council has adopted rules pertaining to Decorum and Order. The City Council will <br />strictly enforce these rules in order to allow uii ex ression of <br />oj2inions ideas and <br />are summarized- —below. - <br />Unauthorized remarks from the audience, stamping of feet, whistling, <br />clapping, yelling, and similar demonstrations shall NOT be permitted by the <br />Presiding Officer. Any disrupting demonstrations shall be cause for the <br />Chief Of Police to clear the Council Chambers or to remove individual <br />offenders upon direction of the Presiding Officer. <br />Any person who verbally attacks other individuals, groups, or city <br />Officials, or otherwise becomes boisterous while addressing the Council, or <br />while attending the Council Meeting, shall be ruled out of order by the <br />Presiding Officer. If someone begins to make impertinent or slanderous <br />remarks, the Presiding Officer (or the City Manager or City Attorney at the <br />direction of the Presiding Officer) will instruct the person to <br />not cease, the Presiding Officer will <br />Council Rules. If the person does follow the <br />instruct the Chief of Police to remove the person from the Council Chambers <br />and bar him/her from further audience before the Council. <br />NOTICE TO PUBLIC <br />Staff reports or other written documentation relating to each item referred to, <br />on the Agenda, are on file in the Office of the City Clerk and are available for <br />public inspection. <br />Any person having questions concerning any item on the Agenda may call the City <br />Clerk at 370-5032, to make inquiry concerning the nature of the item described on <br />the Agenda. The City Clerk shall direct inquiries to the appropriate office. <br />All matters listed under CONSENT CALENDAR are considered by the city Council to <br />be routine and will all b,;—e�nacted �by O�ne motion in the form listed below. There <br />will be no separate discussion on these items prior to the time the Cit Council <br />votes on the motion to adopt unless Members of the Council, Staff or thye Public <br />request specific items be discussed and/or removed from the CONSENT CALENDAR for <br />separate action. <br />MAY 0 7 1996 <br />
