On motion of Mayor Huntoon, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, Mr. Gerald <br />DeJong and Mrs. Dorothy Knapp were appointed to the Cemetery Commission. <br />Community Development Act. <br />City Manager Huffaker advised that Staff will be making a- presentation on the Community <br />Development Act at the next regular Council meeting, and will be bringing more information to <br />the Council on this matter. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />There being no further business to come before the City Council at this time, on motion of <br />Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, Mayor Huntoon <br />adjourned the meeting at 8:40 p.m. <br />Approved this day of , 1974. <br />Mayor <br />HELEN A. RAMOS <br />City Clerk <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 17, 1974 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date <br />at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. <br />Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend William Goble of the Colton Church of Christ. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Huntoon. Also <br />present were City Manager Huffaker, Assistant City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />On motion of Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, the <br />Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br />1. Approval of Minutes - Regular Meeting held December 3, 1974, and Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting held December 9, 1974, as on file in the Office of the City Clerk. <br />2. Approval of Warrants - Nos. 794 through 992 and Nos. 15852 through 16138 (December <br />13) inclusive, as recommended by Director of Finance. <br />3. Camp Fire Girls requesting permission to conduct Annual Candy Sale. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Mayor Huntoon reported that the Chamber of Commerce has sent certificates to the City Council <br />and the Planning Department for the assistance and participation in the Christmas Day Parade <br />held on Saturday, December 14, 1974. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />TIME AND PLACE FIXED FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENT TO CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR CETA POSITIONS. <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Manager Huffaker submitted the Affidavit of Posting. <br />City Manager Huffaker stated that at the last Council meeting Staff had indicated that monies <br />have been received under the Comprehensive Employment Training Act and in order to utilize <br />the monies received, the City will have to amend its pay and classification plan by adopting <br />the following classes and pay ranges - Storekeeper Aide, 15.5; Custodian, 17; Fireman Trainee, <br />21; Police Officer Trainee, 21. <br />Mr. Huffaker said that a report has been sent to the Council members covering these items, <br />and now a resolution will have to be adopted to amend Resolution No. 3441, adding the new <br />classifications and pay ranges. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone wished to speak on this matter. <br />On motion of Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Gonzales and unanimously passed, the <br />Public Hearing was terminated. <br />On motion of Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, Resolu- <br />tion No. 3483 was approved. <br />DEC 17 1974 <br />
