White, Fire Department employee, requested an Executive Session with the City Council, on a Personnel <br />Matter. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 9:00 p. m., to discuss Personnel Matters, and reconvened at 9:15 <br />P. m., all Members present. <br />Questionnaires <br />Mayor Beltran suggested that the survey questionnaires concerning the Cemetery and Refuse operations be mailed out <br />to the public with the utility statements, as it is his understanding that the appropriate Commissions have now <br />reviewed the questionnaires. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, authorizing and approving the mailing of questionnaires <br />concerning the Cemetery and Refuse operations with the utility billing statements. Vote was unanimous. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros., seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, Mayor Beltran adjourned the <br />meeting at 9:20 p. m., to meet for an adjourned regular meeting on Wednesday, August 3, 1977, at 5:30 p. m., in the <br />Council Chambers. <br />HELEN A. RAMOS <br />City Clerk <br />City of Colton <br />Approved this 16th day of August, 1977. <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />August 3, 1977 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Colton was held on the above given date at 5:30 p.m. , in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Beltran presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros 'Gonzales, Rehrer, and Mayor Beltran. Also present were City <br />Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, Finance Director Holt, Assistant to the City Manager Johnsen, and City <br />Clerk Ramos. <br />BUDGET: <br />Recreation <br />City Manager Calabrese reported that the Recreation Budget had been delayed the last time it came before the Council <br />to allow for further review by him and the department head. Mr. Calabrese stated the review has been completed and <br />a total budget of $54,498.00 is recommended. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to tentatively approve the Recreation Budget. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Refuse <br />Community Services Director Young presented the Refuse Budget, saying the table of organization remains the same, <br />capital outlay consists of the traditional purchase of bins, a radio, and a conversion kit with monies to purchase the <br />truck from the Water Division. Mr. Young said the rest of the budget remains relatively unchanged. <br />Councilman Rehrer asked how is :Line item 93 going to be taken care of, since a determination on whether or not the <br />truck in the Water Division will be disposed of has not been made. Councilman Rehrer added that if Refuse didn't <br />acquire the truck, it would not need the lift. <br />Mayor Beltran asked Mr. Young how the truck could be used in the Refuse Division and yet not be good enough for the <br />Water Division. <br />Mr. Young replied the use of the struck in the Refuse Division would be for delivery and pickup of commercial bins and <br />would not be used for hauling heavy loads on an 8 hour basis, such as in the Water Division. <br />Discussion followed on the actual cost of a conversion kit vs. the amount requested in the budget. <br />Mayor Beltran moved to delete line item 93, purchase of truck and conversion kit, from the budget. Seconded by <br />Councilman Rehrer. <br />Discussion followed on 60 commercial accounts being serviced by private contractors, with Mr. Young stating the <br />City has the capability of serving all commercial accounts with the exception of the slide -off bin accounts. Mr. Young <br />reported approximately 12 commercial accounts have the slide -off bins. <br />AUS 31917: <br />
