Chief Teague asked Council to consider -the first three items and in particular the blacktopping of the training grounds. Ms. Camelia Herrera addressed the Council and Chief Teague and stressed that the community be kept abreast as to site selection for a new fire station. Chief Teague responded -the need for a fire station is in the southeast portion of the City and the fire protection plan being prepared encom- passes the entire community. Chief Teague said the ultimate decision as to where the station will be located will be made by -the City Council, however, he is sure the Council will seek staff and community input. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to tentativel- approve the Fire Department's Budget with -the requests made by Chief Teague. Unanimous vote. Civil Devense - Chief Teague advised -this budget has $850 allicated for -training of city personnel. Discussion followed on employee training for emergency preparedness. Chief Teague was of --the opinion that most training could be done in- house without added funds, this could be done with management personnel and by taking the approach of having simulated situations. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to tentatively approve the Civil Defense budget. ROLL CALL: Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Temby and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. PERMIT• Dance City Manager Calabrese reported the Council had received an Agenda report on Friday, on the application request of Kittys' Culinary Co. of 1353 West Valley Boulevard, for a Dance Permit. Dancing will be Tuesday -through Sunday, 9:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Mr. Calabrese advised the request has been reviewed and approved by -the Police Department.
