282 <br />with one inch black top at $ 2,I84, and a fire station at $ 300,000; all <br />items were deleted by the City Manager. <br />Chief Teague asked Council to consider -the first three items and in <br />particular the blacktopping of the training grounds. <br />Ms. Camelia Herrera addressed the Council and Chief Teague and stressed <br />that the community be kept abreast as to site selection for a new fire <br />station. <br />Chief Teague responded -the need for a fire station is in the southeast <br />portion of the City and the fire protection plan being prepared encom- <br />passes the entire community. Chief Teague said the ultimate decision <br />as to where the station will be located will be made by -the City Council, <br />however, he is sure the Council will seek staff and community input. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to tentativel- <br />approve the Fire Department's Budget with -the requests made by Chief <br />Teague. Unanimous vote. <br />Civil Devense - Chief Teague advised -this budget has $850 allicated for <br />-training of city personnel. <br />Discussion followed on employee training for emergency preparedness. <br />Chief Teague was of --the opinion that most training could be done in- <br />house without added funds, this could be done with management personnel <br />and by taking the approach of having simulated situations. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to tentatively <br />approve the Civil Defense budget. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />There being no further business to come before the City Council at <br />this time, on motion of Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Cisneros and unanimously passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned -the meeting <br />at 7:27 p.m., -to meet in an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Monday, <br />July 30, I979 at 6:00 p.m., in -the Council Chambers, 650 North La <br />Cadena Drive, Colton, California. <br />3 <br />HELEN A. Also present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney <br />Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />PERMIT• <br />Dance <br />City Manager Calabrese reported the Council had received an Agenda report <br />on Friday, on the application request of Kittys' Culinary Co. of 1353 <br />West Valley Boulevard, for a Dance Permit. Dancing will be Tuesday <br />-through Sunday, 9:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Mr. Calabrese advised the request <br />has been reviewed and approved by -the Police Department. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the <br />Dance Permit Application of Kittys' Culinary Co.
