I, ORDINANCE NO. 311 In the Superior Court of the County of San Bernardino, State of Cali- fornia. The undersigned being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That at all times hereinafter mentioned she was a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen years, and a resident of said county and was at and during all said times the principal clerk or the printer and publisher of the Col- ton Daily Courier, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and pub- lished six times per week in the City of Colton, in said County of San Ber- nardino, State of California; that said Colton Daily Courier is and was at all times herein mentioned a newspaper of general circulation as that term is defined by section 4460 of the Politi- cal Code, and, as provided by said section, is published for the dissemi- nation of local and telegraphic news and intelligence of a general charac- ter, having a bona fide subscription list of paying subscribers; that at all times said newspaper has been estab- lished, printed and published in the said city of Colton, in said county and state at regular intervals for more than one year preceding the first pub- lication of the advertisement herein mentioned; that said advertisement was set in type not smaller than non- pariel and was preceded with words printed in black faced type not smaller than nonpariel, describing and ex- pressing in general terms, the pur- port and character of the notice in- tended to be given; that the An Ordinance Declaring the Inten- tion of the Board of Trustees of the City of Colton to Change and Establish the Grade of Eighth Street from the North Property Line of K Street to the South Curb Line of O Street, in the City of Colton. The Board of Trustees of the City of Colton do ordain as follows. Section I l That it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Col- on to change and establish the grade of Eighth street from the north prop- erty line of K street to the south curb line of O street in accordance with the following grades and elevations: At the intersection of the east cu-,-b line of Eighth street with the cone tinuation of the north property line of K street the grade shall be 970.6 feet. At the intersection of the west curb line of Eighth street with the con- tinuation of the north property line K street the grade shall be 971.0 feet. At the southeast curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and K streets the grade shall be 970.5 feet. At the southwest curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and K streets the grade shall be 970.5 street. At the northeast curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and L streets the grade shall be 965. 4 feet. At the northwest curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and L streets the grade shall be 965.4 feet. At the southwest curb corner of the intersection of. Eighth and L streets the grade shall be 965.0 feet. At the southeast curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and L streets i the grade shall be 965.0 feet. At the northeast curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and M streets the grade shall be 962.2 feet. At the northwest curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and M streets the grade shall be 962.2 feet. At the southwest curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and M streets the grade shall be 961.5 feet. At the southeast curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and M streets the grade shall be 961.5 feet. At the northeast curb corner of the intersection of Eighth and N streets Section 11 The proceedings for the aforesaid range and establishments of grades call be taken under the "Change of r rade Act of 1909." Section III p The Street Superintendent shall i ost notice of the passage of this it rdinance as in the manner provided i y law, and shall cause a notice imiliar in substance to be published or six (6) days in the Colton Daily ;ourier. Section IV The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published for six (6) days in the Colton Daily Courier and shall post the same con- spicuously for two (2) days on or near the council chamber door and thereafter it shall take effect and be n force at the time and in the man- ner provided by law. l P.
