I, ORDINANCE NO. 311 <br />In the Superior Court of the County <br />of San Bernardino, State of Cali- <br />fornia. <br />The undersigned being first duly <br />sworn, deposes and says: That at all <br />times hereinafter mentioned she was a <br />citizen of the United States over the <br />age of eighteen years, and a resident <br />of said county and was at and during <br />all said times the principal clerk or <br />the printer and publisher of the Col- <br />ton Daily Courier, a newspaper of <br />general circulation, printed and pub- <br />lished six times per week in the City <br />of Colton, in said County of San Ber- <br />nardino, State of California; that said <br />Colton Daily Courier is and was at all <br />times herein mentioned a newspaper <br />of general circulation as that term is <br />defined by section 4460 of the Politi- <br />cal Code, and, as provided by said <br />section, is published for the dissemi- <br />nation of local and telegraphic news <br />and intelligence of a general charac- <br />ter, having a bona fide subscription <br />list of paying subscribers; that at all <br />times said newspaper has been estab- <br />lished, printed and published in the <br />said city of Colton, in said county and <br />state at regular intervals for more <br />than one year preceding the first pub- <br />lication of the advertisement herein <br />mentioned; that said advertisement <br />was set in type not smaller than non- <br />pariel and was preceded with words <br />printed in black faced type not smaller <br />than nonpariel, describing and ex- <br />pressing in general terms, the pur- <br />port and character of the notice in- <br />tended to be given; that the <br />An Ordinance Declaring the Inten- <br />tion of the Board of Trustees of <br />the City of Colton to Change and <br />Establish the Grade of Eighth <br />Street from the North Property Line <br />of K Street to the South Curb Line <br />of O Street, in the City of Colton. <br />The Board of Trustees of the City <br />of Colton do ordain as follows. <br />Section I l <br />That it is the intention of the <br />Board of Trustees of the City of Col- <br />on to change and establish the grade <br />of Eighth street from the north prop- <br />erty line of K street to the south curb <br />line of O street in accordance with <br />the following grades and elevations: <br />At the intersection of the east cu-,-b <br />line of Eighth street with the cone <br />tinuation of the north property line of <br />K street the grade shall be 970.6 feet. <br />At the intersection of the west curb <br />line of Eighth street with the con- <br />tinuation of the north property line <br />K street the grade shall be 971.0 feet. <br />At the southeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Eighth and K streets <br />the grade shall be 970.5 feet. <br />At the southwest curb corner of <br />the intersection of Eighth and K <br />streets the grade shall be 970.5 street. <br />At the northeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Eighth and L streets <br />the grade shall be 965. 4 feet. <br />At the northwest curb corner of <br />the intersection of Eighth and L <br />streets the grade shall be 965.4 feet. <br />At the southwest curb corner of <br />the intersection of. Eighth and L <br />streets the grade shall be 965.0 feet. <br />At the southeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Eighth and L streets <br />i the grade shall be 965.0 feet. <br />At the northeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Eighth and M streets <br />the grade shall be 962.2 feet. <br />At the northwest curb corner of <br />the intersection of Eighth and M <br />streets the grade shall be 962.2 feet. <br />At the southwest curb corner of <br />the intersection of Eighth and M <br />streets the grade shall be 961.5 feet. <br />At the southeast curb corner of <br />the intersection of Eighth and M <br />streets the grade shall be 961.5 feet. <br />At the northeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Eighth and N streets <br />Section 11 <br />The proceedings for the aforesaid <br />range and establishments of grades <br />call be taken under the "Change of r <br />rade Act of 1909." <br />Section III p <br />The Street Superintendent shall i <br />ost notice of the passage of this it <br />rdinance as in the manner provided i <br />y law, and shall cause a notice <br />imiliar in substance to be published <br />or six (6) days in the Colton Daily <br />;ourier. <br />Section IV <br />The City Clerk shall certify to the <br />passage of this ordinance and shall <br />cause the same to be published for <br />six (6) days in the Colton Daily <br />Courier and shall post the same con- <br />spicuously for two (2) days on or <br />near the council chamber door and <br />thereafter it shall take effect and be <br />n force at the time and in the man- <br />ner provided by law. <br />l P.
