R-29-18 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF COLTON ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION <br />PROGRAM (ATP) PLAN. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing <br />pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Active Transportation Program (ATP) was created by California Senate <br />Bill 99 (Chapter 359, Statutes 2013) and California Assembly Bill 101(Chapter 354, Statutes of <br />2013) to encourage the use of active modes of transportation such as walking and biking; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton received ATP Cycle 2 funding from the State to prepare a <br />Citywide ATP plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton hired KOA Corporation to prepare the City of Colton <br />ATP Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton Planning Commission recommended to the City Council <br />the adoption of the ATP Plan on March 27, 2018. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The Recital preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are incorporated into <br />this Resolution by reference. <br />Section 2: The City Council authorizes the adoption of Citywide Active Transportation Program <br />Plan as recommended by the City of Colton Planning Commission on March 27, 2018. <br />PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 17th DAY OF APRIL, 2018. <br />.
