1 <br />2 <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-13-17 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING THE <br />4 APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR <br />CALIFORNIA CLIMATE INVESTMENTS URBAN <br />5 GREENING PROGRAM <br />6 <br />7 WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have provided <br />8 funds for the program show above; and <br />9 <br />WHEREAS, the California Natural Resources Agency has been delegated the <br />10 responsibility for the administration of this <br />P Y grant program, establishing necessary <br />11 procedures; and <br />12 <br />13 WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Natural Resources <br />14 Agency require a resolution certifying the approval of the application(s) by the Applicants <br />governing board before submission of said application(s) to the State; and <br />15 <br />16 WHEREAS, the applicant, if selected, will enter into an agreement with the State <br />17 of California to carry out the Project; and <br />18 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />19 DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />20 <br />1. Approves the filing of an application for the Center Median Landscaping Project; <br />21 <br />2. Certifies that applicant understands the assurances and certification in the <br />22 application, and <br />23 <br />3. Certifies that applicant or title holder will have sufficient funds to operate and <br />24 maintain the project consistent with the land tenure requirements; or will secure the <br />25 resources to do so, and <br />26 4. Certifies that it will comply with the provisions of Section 1771.5 of the State Labor <br />Code, and <br />27 <br />5. If applicable, certifies that the project will comply with any laws and regulations <br />28 including, but not limited to, legal requirements for building codes, health and <br />
