I RESOLUTION NO. R-20-16 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />PRIORITIZING PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED BY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />3 GRANT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 <br />4 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton elected to enter into a <br />5 Cooperation Agreement with the County of San Bernardino in order to receive Community <br />Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds; and <br />6 <br />WHEREAS, as a "Cooperating City," the City of Colton anticipates receiving <br />7 $458,738 in CDBG funds for Fiscal Year 2016-2017; and <br />8 WHEREAS, Unprogrammed Funds in the amount of $57,399 are available and will <br />9 be utilized in conjunction with new project funding for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to complete <br />10 projects already underway, bringing the total funding recommendations to $516,137; and <br />I I WHEREAS, the City Council, as the governing body of the City of Colton, is <br />required by statute to take a formal action approving a prioritized list of projects to be <br />12 recommended to the County for funding with CDBG funds for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 in their <br />Consolidated Plan to comply with CDBG program regulations and subject to available <br />13 funding; and <br />14 WHEREAS, the City Council seated a committee, known as the CDBG Ad Hoc <br />15 Committee, comprised of three (3) City Council members and three (3) Planning <br />Commissioners, to review the eligible projects and make funding recommendations to the <br />16 Council; and <br />17 WHEREAS, the City of Colton is required to inform the County of San Bernardino <br />18 regarding the priority of eligible projects to be funded with CDBG funds for Fiscal Year <br />2016-2017. <br />19 <br />20 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND FIND AS FOLLOWS: <br />21 <br />SECTION 1. The recitals preceding this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />22 incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. <br />23 SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Colton <br />prioritizes the following <br />24 projects for funding with CDBG funds in Fiscal Year 2016-2017: <br />// <br />25 <br />26 // <br />27 <br />28 // <br />
