R-08-16 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT 01 TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF <br />EDUCATION CONTRACT CSPP-5385 FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />PRESCHOOL CHILDCARE SERVICES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD <br />EDUCATION DIVISION OF THE COMMUNITY SERVICES <br />DEPARTMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016 AND AMENDING THE <br />2015-16 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET TO REFLECT AN INCREASE IN <br />FUNDING FOR THE PROVISION OF PRESCHOOL SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton entered into Contract CSPP-5385 with the California <br />Department of Education on July 21, 2015, for the provision of preschool services by the Early <br />Childhood Education Division of the Community Services Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Education has issued Amendment 01 to this Contract <br />CSPP-5385, increasing the contract allocation of funds from $437,620 to $469,944. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby resolve as follows: <br />Section 1: The staff report accompanying this resolution is found to be true, adopted <br />as findings, and incorporated into this resolution. <br />Section 2: City approves the State of California Contract Amendment 01 to CSPP- <br />5385, for the provision of preschool services in the Early Childhood Education Division of the <br />Community Services Department. <br />Section 3: The City Manager, as Executive Director of the program, is hereby <br />authorized to sign the applicable documents on behalf of the City to execute this agreement. <br />
