R-24-11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION CONTRACT <br />AMENDMENT 02 TO CONTRACT CSPP-0433 FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />PRESCHOOL SERVICES IN THE HUMAN SERVICES DIVISION OF THE <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011 <br />WHEREAS, the Human Services Division of the Community Services Department <br />currently provides a Preschool Program, which is funded by the State of California Department <br />of Education (CDE), through State Contract CSPP-0433, and; <br />WHEREAS, the CDE has approved Amendment 02 to this contract, for the provision <br />of additional preschool services in fiscal year 2010-11, and; <br />WHEREAS, this contract amendment will provide up to an additional $335,131 of <br />funding for a full fiscal year, to enable the City of Colton to expand its current program and <br />provide preschool services to approximately 90 additional Colton children, ages 3 to 5 years <br />old. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby resolve as <br />follows: <br />Section 1: The City approves of the State of California Amendment 02 to Contract CSPP- <br />0433, pertaining to preschool services. <br />Section 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the applicable documents on behalf <br />of the City to execute this agreement. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 2011. <br />ATTEST: <br />EILEEN C.
