CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />DECEMBER 02, 1997 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date <br />at 6:42 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gaytan presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Gaytan invited Col. Charles Jackson, Retired, to lead the assembly in the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Pastor Ed List offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present were Councilmember Don Sanders, Councilmember John Hutton, Councilmember <br />Kelly Chastain, Councilmember Betty Cook, Councilmember Deirdre Bennett and Mayor Karl <br />E. Gaytan. Councilmember Sandoval was absent. Also present were Interim City Manager <br />Wood, Interim City Attorney Carvalho and Deputy City Clerk Delgado. <br />CANVASS OF ELECTION: <br />Special Municipal Electio <br />Motion and second by CM Cook and CM Hutton to approve and adopt the resolution, submitted <br />by City Clerk Barrera, reciting the fact and declaring the results of the Special Municipal Election <br />held on November 4, 1997, as provided by law. Motion carried with CM Sandoval absent. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-122-97 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE <br />FACT OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br />HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1997, DECLARING THE <br />RESULT AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS <br />PROVIDED BY LAW <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />Mayor Karl E. Gaytan called newly -elected Councilman James B.
